Double Down Comforters

When you find a double down comforter at a hotel you know you are in the lap of luxury.

From top names like the Ritz Carlton, to smaller boutique hotels, double down comforters are just one of the many ways that you are surrounded by opulence. When you look around you will be amazed at the lavishness of your suite, as well as the restaurant, gym, and business center.

The most common place, outside of these luxury hotels, to find double down comforters is in climates where it is very cold a large part of the year. You should think twice about purchasing one of these comforters for your home if you live in a more moderate climate, as you are likely to get too hot using one.

Of course, if your house is usually kept very cold at night a double down comforter may be a good investment for you. Another thing to consider when purchasing your comforter is your own body heat. Since down works by reflecting back your own body heat a person that emits a lot of warmth would probably be more comfortable under a lighter weight comforter. If, however, you are usually cooler, it may feel great to cuddle under a cozy double down comforter. Be sure to do your research ahead of time and read the labels as you shop to get the product that is right for you.

At luxury resorts in moderate climates it is possible to have liveried coachman meet you at the front door. While this may not be as likely to happen when you stay in a cold climate resort, you will be happy to see the beautifully cozy double down comforter across the bed in your suite instead. You can climb under it and thaw out from your wait for the airport shuttle.
